Field booking from 19 May

Dear all

The field will be available from tomorrow, 19 May.
If you want to shoot you will need to book a slot (unfortunately there is no “turn up and shoot” in the current climate).

A set of instructions is attached to this email advising how the field will be run and these are also taped to the picnic tables on the field.

Later this evening the booking system will go live on the website (all things being well).
The system will be enhanced as time goes on but we wanted to get it up and running as quickly as we could. Sarah R and Daniel have done some sterling work to reach this point.

On the website there will be a link to “Field Booking”. The booking site will also have the instructions within it.

You will need to sign up to the system using a username (not email) and a password. It will also need a validation word which has been emailed to you. if you have not received this email then please contact

Bookings are for 2 hours, that includes set-up time and take down time. We cannot have double the number of archers on the field during changeover times so you should wait in your car outside the gates until a parking space becomes available.

Please take some time to read the attached.

If you have questions and/or constructive suggestions, please let us know and we’ll do our best to help. Already in hand is a cancellation option – if you need to cancel before this option goes live please reply here and we can sort it out.

This is new to all of us and there are bound to be some teething problems, but we’re also sensible enough to get around this.

Let’s use the WhatsApp Group for pictures, tales of 6 gold ends etc.

Hope to see you, at a good social distance of course, over the coming weeks.

on behalf of the committee
