Hi allA reminder that there are a couple of shoots on Saturday 30 June
1. Saturday Morning from 9:30am – County Head to Head session:
More and more tournaments are starting to include Head to Head formats into their competitions, but many archers have let us know that they are unfamiliar with the format.
To help resolve this, the Coaches and Judges within the county are organising a session where archers can come and experience the Head to Head format in a friendly and unpressured atmosphere. The aim will be to explain the format and what is done so that when experienced at a competition the format will be more familiar and less daunting. We will be shooting it at reduced distances (probably 30 or 40 metres) but we can adjust this on the day so juniors and all archers (regardless of skill) are welcome.
The session will be held at Clophill’s field on the morning of the 30th June. Please arrive at 9:30 for a 10 am start. We are planning on running through the individual, team and mixed couples formats provided we have enough people attending. In order to help us know how many to expect it would be helpful if you could let Helen Horner know in advance (helen) but please feel free to just turn up on the day.
2. Postal shoot – 1pm set-up for 1:30pm start.
The club has entered 2 compound teams (of 2 archers) and 2 recurve teams (of 3 archers). If you can hit the target at 50m come along and add your score.
If you can’t yet get to 50m, join in and shoot one of the other Short Metric rounds:
Short Metric 50m and 30m
Short Metric 2 40m and 30m
Short Metric 3 30m and 20m
Short Metric 4 20m and 10m
All rounds will qualify for Grand Prix points.
You can keep track of the Postal results and your Grand Prix Points on the web site :
3. Keep an eye on the website, Facebook page etc as the the weather is fine and members may be shooting on Sunday – if the Clubhouse is open, we’ll post a message.
